Fantasy, reality, and the place in between. Luna is a film about past and present, absence and loss, and the reconciliation of past actions. Two couples reunite after a long break to realise that their core selves have remained the same, with their fears buried, but with the competitive nature of their relationships still very much ferocious. Luna is a fantasy film about reality that uses cinematic imaginative language to portray the tangible and mundane alongside the fantastical and fleeting elements of life. The film combines live action with the unique animation and graphics of Dave McKean.
