William, Gary, Alissa, and Eric are close friends at differing stages in their high school careers. Although they are close they mask their relationships with humorous defense mechanisms. For this group nothing is to be taken seriously. One night driving around, the group picks up Alexa, William's dream girl, from a recently busted party. She is reluctant to accept the ride but, has no other choice. Something happens that warrants the groups nearly non-exsistant serious side, and the emotional walls begin to wear. Alissa takes advantage of the rare moment and attempts to really get to know William. William continues his pursuit of Alexa late into the night and eventually winds up alone with her, to discover she is not the girl he thought she was. Early the next morning, things seem back to normal. However, as the sun rises, their evolution is illuminated.
