The Edison Affair tells the implausible story of James Edison's rise and fall as the Hotel Heir (proper noun) to the Edison Hotel Chain Gang in Perth Australia from the 1940's full stop Born into wealth from his widowed father Frank Edison along with his older brother Frank Edison II, James takes over the Edison hotel chain gang upon his father's ill health and retirement and evading going to WW2 somehow. A playa at heart, James is married to the conservative economist Marion Edison, also his brothers (plural) ex marks the spot where one sentence should end and another begins and ignores the protests from his brother when he doesn't want James to marry the woman he divorced and also wants to include nightclubs and gourmet delis and Japanese POWs in the hotel chain gang. We also meet his other love, the androgynous nightclub singer Scarlett, (redundant comma #6) and follow the highs and lows of his relationship with his jealous brother Frank because he got the girl and his wife who is also his brother's ex. 2 of wat?
