Joan is admitted to a New York City mental hospital. Her sister Maggie comes to bring her things and runs into Joan's daughter Abby. Abby shocked and saddened by her mothers sickness, confronts her Aunt Maggie's borderline crazy behavior. Maggie explains to Abby the love for her mother, and her hate. Saddened and confused, both will never be the same.
