A Woman Looks Back

Sz�nth� Tam�s is conducting a concert, while his young wife and her secret lover play in the same theatre in the Tragedy of Man. On Christmas Eve the wife, �gnes announces that she is going to leave her husband and their daughter, Buksi and will live with Mikl�s. After the divorce �gnes and Mikl�s get married in France and go to Hollywood. However, only �gnes is successful, so they move back to Hungary. At home �gnes is told by a hostile governess that her husband died, By now Buksi has grown to Judit and falls in love with her attractive stepfather. �gnes steps aside and later dies in an accident.
